LOL i would have never noticed that on my own…I thought she was supposed to be country?? I don’t know why this girl bothers me this much. Maybe it’s the fact that she acts wayyy older than she actually is, which is 17 btw. She’s had 20+ year old boyfriends, wears skanky clothes and on top of that there are thousands of girls who want to be like her, like my cousins and nieces. Maybe it’s the fact that she’s not even legal and yet her parents gave permission to let her dress and do things like that. C’mon, that Vanity Fair photo and saying it was “artistic”…BS, that was just a preview of everything we’re seeing now! Not to mention that hideous tattoo! It’s discouraging to me that she’s considered a typical role model for young girls nowadays and I worries me about future “role models”…I don’t want my kids to think that this is normal. I predict in five years she’ll be in another Britney or Lindsay situation and it wouldn’t surprise anyone. I may be making this a big deal right now, but somewhere along the line I know I’ll have trouble explaining to my daughter why it’s not okay to dress like this or behave like that because if this pattern of “role models” continues then her reasoning will be “well everyone else does it”. There are more graceful ways of shaking off your image of being a child star, a la Dakota Fanning or Emma Watson, so when Miley starts falling over drunk in front of paparazzi and going to court for DUI’s, I’ll just say, “See I knew this was coming! You should have acted your age, not gotten too crazy, and taken a page out of those girls’ books!” Just sayin’.
