I was feeling nostalgic today so I watched BAMF’s video of our cover of “When You Were Young” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFOoyZvtZBs …The first comment on the list: “Wow you sound like Flowers good for you The girl is shit though” This fool is of course referring to Ryan sounding amazing (which I agree with 100 percent!) and me. At first I was going to write a comment back and I even clicked on the user name to see who this person is (this account was suspended, btw).
At first I thought, “Who does he think he is? At least I have the balls to go up on stage and perform in the public eye! You behind your computer screen, you probably don’t have the balls to talk shit to someone’s face!” But then I thought about that performance, how nervous we all were and how after that performance I ran over and over in my head how I should have done this or wished I did that. Yes, it was not my best performance but since then I have improved 1,000-fold. So now I’m laughing at this guy who has NO CLUE how much better I’ve become (not that I’ve ever really been bad) and imagining making another video to prove it.
So my thoughts now: Fuck you bitch. And when you hear me sing again you will shit your pants and rethink your whole life. Got it? Good.
